Jean Baptiste Roger Dung Tien Do passed unexpectantly on July 20, 2022, at the age of 52, in his home in San Jose.
Roger was born December 6, 1969, in Saigon, Vietnam. He moved to Sunray, Texas with his family in 1975. Roger excelled academically and participated in sports all through his school years. He graduated from Dumas High School as Salutatorian in 1988. He was a Proud Fightin' Texas Aggie, Class of 1992. He graduated from Texas A&M with an Electrical Engineering degree and he began his career in Dallas, Texas with Texas Instruments, then he was off to Allentown, Pennsylvania with AT&T, and he finally moved to San Jose, California where he worked and resided for over twenty years with various companies. Roger was employed with Lattice Semiconductor until his passing. He met his wife, Melanie, and they married August 2, 2008. They enjoyed good food, good wine, and traveling with one another. Roger was the kindest, most generous, and loyal of men. He loved his family fiercely and he passionately pursued his many interests in travel, sports, music, and photography. Roger was the most wonderful son, brother, husband, and uncle. He is cherished by his friends and family and will be greatly missed.
Roger is survived by his parents, Anh and Hanh Do, his wife, Melanie Choe, his sister and her husband, Julie and Mark Norris, his nephews, Reed and Walt Norris, his sister-in-law, Annette Do, his niece, Madison Do, his father-in-law, Pongtae Choe, his mother-in-law, Ilsun Choe, his sister-in-law, Cheryl Choe, his sister-in-law and her husband, Karen and Don Huynh, his nephew, Will Huynh, and his brother-in-law, Tim Choe. Roger is predeceased by his brother, Jim Do, his maternal grandparents, Vuong Van Sang and Ngo Thi Chu, and his paternal grandparents, Do Van Cua and Phung Thi Ba.
