Roy W. Cook of Saratoga, CA passed on 11/4/2022, age 88 from ampullary cancer.  Roy was born on 3/1/1934 in Chouteau, OK. Roy's family moved to CA in 1936.  At Colton High, he was the Student Body President and Captain of the basketball team, scoring 455 points and inducted into the Colton Sports Hall of Fame in 2015.  In 1952, he accepted a basketball scholarship to UCLA.  He served in the US Army from 1954-56, then earned a Master's degree from SFSU.  In SF, he met his first wife Ann Coffey, they married in 1961 and had two children, Julie and Greg.

Roy and his family moved to Saratoga in 1965.  He was a member of Saratoga Federated Church, youth sports coach, Rotarian President and opened Roy Cook Realtors in 1973.   During Roy's 44-year, real estate career, he sold more than 1,000 homes in Saratoga.   In 2002, Roy married Ana Corovic.  They had 20 wonderful years together before Roy's passing.  They especially enjoyed their church groups and visiting family in both CA and Croatia.

Roy is survived by his wife Ana Cook and his son Greg Cook.  Daughter in law Jean, grandchildren Landon & Gemma, Ana's daughters Lilijana and Durdica with their families in Croatia. Roy was preceded in death by Ann (Coffey) who was married to Roy from 1961 to her passing in 2000, daughter Julie who passed in 2009 and siblings Bruce, Patricia & Ron.

A memorial service will be held at Saratoga Federated Church, 20390 Park Place, Saratoga on Sat. 11/19/22 at 1 pm.
