Born in Denver, Colorado to Ira and Edna Kile, Sandi later moved to Redwood City, where she attended Sequoia High School. She returned to Colorado, attending Colorado Women's College, and earned her Bachelor's Degree at San Jose State University.

Sandi started her career in Human Resources at Fairchild Semiconductor and Systems Technology, later moved to Monolithic Memories, Zilog, Cirrus Logic, and retired as Vice President, Human Resources at Fujitsu America in 2008.

According to her good friend Caryl Pozos, Sandi was a good friend to many, who focused her love on her "adopted grandchildren" Samantha and Casey Gates of Santa Cruz.

Sandi loved travel and dedicated her time to fundraising through her membership in EMQ Auxiliary, raising funds for Uplift Family Services (formerly EMQ FamiliesFirst). Sandi will be missed from her active role at The Butter Paddle, Los Gatos, where she was Buyer and Manager.

A memorial will be held on Friday, November 17 at Saratoga Country Club. Donations in her memory may be made to EMQ Auxiliary, 33 N. Santa Cruz Ave., Los Gatos, 95030.
