Shih-hwa Chin, a beacon of warmth and joy, passed away on October 7, 2024. Born on January 6, 1955, Shih-hwa's life was a testament to the beauty of living fully and embracing every moment with open arms.

Her ability to create a welcoming atmosphere was unparalleled; she had a knack for making strangers feel like old friends. Whether hosting impromptu gatherings or intimate dinners, Shih-hwa's hospitality was legendary, her door always open, her table always set.

Her life was a vibrant tapestry of adventures and experiences. From being one of the first Taiwanese students to graduate with a Masters in English Literature to traveling the globe while building her Amway business, Shih-hwa lived with an insatiable curiosity and a blazing pioneering instinct. She believed in living the life you wanted to live, whether it was eating that extra dessert, drinking a coffee, or a heartfelt conversation over tea.

Shih-hwa's legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and an unwavering spirit. She leaves behind a world made brighter by her presence and a community forever grateful for her love and light.

She is survived by her husband (Shih Shung), children (Dennis and Alex Shung), grandchild (Xander Shung), and countless friends who cherished her deeply. In honoring Shih-hwa's memory, let us all strive to live with the same warmth and fullness that she embodied every day.
