A Life Lived King-Size

Sohan Lal passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, August 30, 2025, in a nursing home in Mountain View, California. To everyone who knew him, he was the most lively presence in any room—warm-hearted, big-spirited, and forever ready with a smile that put people at ease. He didn't just believe in enjoying life; he lived it king-size, generously, joyfully, and with boundless love for family and friends.

A natural connector of people, Sohan welcomed others like family. He celebrated milestones with gusto, turned ordinary days into memories, and taught by example that the point of life is to live it fully and to lift others as you go. His kindness, hospitality, and unmistakable laugh will echo in the stories we tell and the traditions we keep.

Sohan is lovingly remembered by his wife of almost 60 years, Bimla Kumari, his children Amber Kapadia, Sarita Chauhan, Sapna Seehann, Mohit Chauhan along with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, the extended family and friends who will carry his light forward.

Services: A private service and cremation will be held at Alameda Family Funeral & Cremation on Wednesday, September 03, 2025.
