Steven A.
Schrupp
Aug 4, 1946 — Mar 29, 2022
Steve unexpectedly passed away on March 29th, at the age of 75. He was a beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather, friend and loyal Kiwanian. He was born to Alfred Thomas and Winifred Marshall in San Francisco. A military family that lived all across the country and abroad. Joliet, Illinois, White Sands, New Mexico, Orleans, France, and Manheim, Germany, just to name a few. He graduated from San Jose State University and worked for Santa Clara County ISD almost his entire career. In his spare time he enjoyed playing racquetball, running, being stage crew in his daughters shows, and, of course, Kiwanis. After retirement he became more involved with Kiwanis and served as Lt. Gov. for his district. He enjoyed training others and being able to help in any way he could. He was a doting grandfather and relished in the job. Lara and Luke both enjoyed reminding grandpa to "take his pills" when his alarms went off and to make sure he always had his walking staff.
He is survived by his wife of almost 47 years, Maggie, his daughter Heidi Amstrup and husband AJ, and his grandchildren Lara and Luke. His sister Shirley Lathrop and Granger, sister Lucy Chiacchia and Len, sister Debbie Harrington and Dennis, sister Bonnie Krznarich and Terry, and brother Tim Schrupp and Sarah. Numerous nieces and nephews, Audrey, Patrick, Christopher, Nicole, Amanda, Michael, Jennifer, Andrew, and Rebecca. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He will be missed terribly by those who ever interacted with him and will be dearly remembered.
