Teresa Maria Severo, 76, of Saratoga, California, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, of pancreatic cancer.

Born July 1, 1945, in Bisignano, Italy, she was the third child of Assunta and Annunziato De Cicco.

Teresa is survived by her four children:  Daniella (Tony), Edward (Mariela), George, and Carla and eight grandchildren: Raylena, Laurena, Eli, Tyler, Giovanni, Franco, Noah, Soren, and three great-grandchildren: Joseph, Anthony, and Helena. She is also survived by her sister Maria (Romolo), and brothers Franco (Sonia) and Luigi (Amparo) and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother Assunta Maria DeCicco.

At age 10, Teresa and her family immigrated to Montevideo, Uruguay, South America. She attended school there and became a devout Catholic. Since 1986, she was a Sacred Heart Church parishioner. Later in life, in the year 2000, she volunteered to work at the Vatican for the Jubilee Pilgrimage.

At age 22, she immigrated again to the United States, married, had her family, and soon started her own business.

Teresa loved to entertain. She was known for her amazing Southern Italian cooking and yearly canning. As an avid sports fan, she excitedly enjoyed a good game, especially if her grandkids were playing. Possessed by an adventurous spirit, she loved to travel and had been to many places including Europe, Israel, China, Australia, Central, and South America.

Teresa will be dearly missed.
