We mourn the passing of our dear mother, Virginia, who died peacefully on the morning of July 4th. She leaves behind her son Steven Sorich and his wife Debbie and daughter Lisa Moore and her husband Eugene and brother Richard Bollin and his wife Pat. In addition, she leaves behind three grandchildren, Rebecca Yungert, Jared Moore and Matthew Sorich and one great-grandchild Wade. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Sorich and her grandson Jeremiah Moore.

As most women of her time, she was a stay-at-home Mom. She did not return to work until her eldest was in high school. She worked for many years as an Executive Secretary for Hewlett Packard. When Robert retired from Lockheed, they travelled to several European countries and took many guided tours across the United States.

After Robert passed in 2009, Virginia decided to give back to El Camino Hospital, (the hospital that took care of Robert), by working at Java Junction. Her co-workers loved her. Several of the other women and she would regularly go out for lunch and bowling. She continued to work at Java Junction until 2017, when her health began to decline

Virginia will be remembered for her spunk and her no nonsense approach to life. She was very outspoken about her political views and loved to have spirited conversations about the state of our country. She was the epitome of practicality and didn't enjoy a lot of fuss.

Services for Virginia will be held at Alameda Family funeral home at 12341 Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road with a reception to follow. Please join us in celebrating Virginia's life with us.
