With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Yi (Grace) Zhang, who departed this life on July 8, 2026, at the age of 50 after a courageous battle with cancer. Grace leaves behind a legacy of compassion, faith, and selfless devotion to her family, friends, and community.

Born in Beijing, China, Grace excelled academically, consistently ranking among the top of her class before attending the prestigious Peking University. In 2001, she moved to the United States, where she earned a master's degree from Cornell University and went on to build a fulfilling career in asset management.

Grace was deeply devoted to the people around her, cultivating lasting friendships wherever life took her. Her Christian faith was the foundation of her life and the guiding force behind her generosity and compassion. Through her churches and fellowship groups, she lived out her belief in loving and serving others.

A nurturer at heart, Grace cared deeply for those she loved. Whether baking birthday cakes for friends, singing in the choir, volunteering at her children's school events, or quietly supporting someone through difficult times, she embodied a spirit of service, humility, and kindness in everything she did.

Grace is survived by her beloved husband, Kevin Li; her children, Anya Li and Andrew Li; and her mother, Jian Shen.

Grace will be profoundly missed and forever remembered for the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the enduring example of faith and grace she leaves behind.

A memorial service celebrating Grace's life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., at 2715 Prince Street, Berkeley, California 94705. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend.
