程有威先生於1947年2月24日生在南京,兩歲時隨家人遷到台灣。家中排行老四,有姐妹五位,是家中唯一的獨子,深得父母和姐妹們的喜愛。父親程世傑是陳果夫先生的機要祕書,服務於交通銀行,為人謙遜低調,母親程汪方承襲中國傳統女性的美德,溫柔簡約、相夫教子。父母親十分重視教育,程家孩子也在各自的領域中,貢獻社會,有十分傑出的表現。

程有威雖為獨子,家人寵愛有加,受家風影響,謙虛為懷,待人以誠,做事認真。建國中學畢業後,順利考上國立交通大學電子工程系。1973年與崔去病女士結為連理,於今共度人生甘苦四十四載,二人育有兩女Jean和Fawn,女兒們家庭婚姻美滿,程有威夫婦也得有三個外孫子女,享受歡笑滿盈,含貽弄孫的天倫之樂。

程有威夫婦於1981年依親來美,也因在台灣任職於ITT外商企業,深得長官毛渝南先生的賞識,又因工作關係結識矽谷創業家李信麟先生,兩人對他都十分欣賞,網羅他加入美國團隊。1986年,對於科技發展極具敏銳度的他沈浸在矽谷創業風潮中,與友人龍澄原先生創辦德鑫科技(Desiny Technology Group), 1996年被台灣致伸科技收購,十年當中,克服創業的種種挑戰,終至成功。同年,演而優則導,從球員到教練,他與龍澄原、麥光譜共同成立VenGlobal ,加入創投行列,數年來,不乏成功案例。

與此同時,為回饋母校,「飲水思源」,程有威協助交大在矽谷校友間募資,在學長林建昌的大力協助下,成立「思源創投基金」,投資交大校友公司,所得利潤,再投資回饋到母校創業基金。由於他豐富的科技知識、做事做人的誠信態度,很快地為校籌集創業資金,許多矽谷成功初創公司都受到程有威的幫忙。卅多年來,結交了不少科技界的好朋友。

雖然投身在創投領域中,程有威卻不以"利"為出發點,對科技充滿熱情,無私分享,常常是業界諮詢的對象,聽到好的創業點子,他便雀躍不已;至於自己是否得"利",不是他的考量。不追名逐利、不攀迎附會、交友以誠、低調務實的性格,一路走來,讓他得到長官、夥伴和朋友的信任,尤其昔日長官和夥伴都是卅、四十年不墜的交情。同學們情感深厚,今逢70歲生日,從不過生日的他,灣區交大同班同學九人都來為他慶生,合影中,雖已不是當年廿歲的小夥子,情誼卻也深厚。

白手起家,程有威也在妻子崔去病的持家之下,生活安康。過去十年,生活重心也從事業逐漸轉移休閒旅遊,夫妻偕手出遊,足跡踏遍歐洲、亞洲等地,照相、打球、旅遊,生活愜意;對高科技發展和知識仍有高度的興趣,與志趣相投的友人聊起科技趨勢,很是開心。

在平淡快樂的生活中,竟在2013年底的身體檢查,頓受衝擊。醫生宣佈,他罹患肝癌末期。面對這突如其來的消息,他卻沒有被打倒,勇敢接受所有的治療,等待肝臟移植。在整整兩年的等待中,程有威生活如常,日日游泳,運動,如健康人一般的生活,也終於在2015年聖誕夜如願進行肝臟移植手術。換肝之後,雖然病情並未如想像中的順遂,他仍保持樂觀的心情,面對這難纏的病症,並保持每日走路健身的習慣。

當程有威無法再抵禦頑強的癌細胞之時,他仍抱持著「平靜」和「滿足」之心,「平靜」以待挑戰、「滿足」以對人生,是位令人尊敬的抗癌勇士。在抗癌的三年多的日子裡,周遭親友未曾聽過他一聲抱怨,在他心中,是滿滿的充實人生;有疼愛他的父母姐妹、平順求學、投其所愛的創業創投事業、美滿幸福的婚姻家庭、以及結交到人生摯友。他曾對妻子說:「只要妳知道我是個好人,這就夠了!」一句簡單的話,道出程有威對他對自己一生期許與坦蕩!

程有威一生美好的仗已打完,他是永遠的鬥士,親友們永懷念他時時在臉上的微笑,永存對他無限的懷念!
